Leading People Into A Relationship With Jesus Christ

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

The word “church” conjures up many pictures in a people’s minds. Some think of the grand cathedrals of Europe. Some think of stained-glass windows and massive pipe organs playing barely-singable songs. Others dredge up childhood memories of parents scolding: “Sit still and be quiet!” but not getting much out of the whole ordeal.

At Lord of Life, we think of church as a new experience every Sunday because God Himself is present. We have a beautiful house of worship set on four acres of well-manicured lawn. Located at one of the busiest intersections in the Oconomowoc area, we are seen by thousands of people every day. Most of them just pass us by, perhaps being encouraged by one of the messages on our LED sign at the corner of our property.

But if they would stop in sometime, they would see the real splendor of our church: the beauty of our Lord manifested in the faces of His people. From the moment you walk through our doors, you feel the presence of God. Here is an oasis from the world’s discouragement and pain. Here, you are welcome, no matter what your story may be. Within our congregation, you will find people who not only talk to you, but also take the time to listen. Because you are important to God, you are important to us. As I often say to our members, “We may never be the largest church in Oconomowoc, but nothing can stop us from being the most loving.”

Lord of Life is a member of the North American Lutheran Church (NALC). The NALC is a fairly new church body consisting of more than 142,000 Lutherans among 430 congregations. Organized in 2010, we have the following Core Values:

At Lord of Life, we strive to maintain these core values through the hands and hearts of our people. In the sacrificial life of Christ, God has revealed His love for this world. We want to share that same love with you!

So next time you are driving through that busy intersection of Highways P and Z, please say a prayer that God would bless our mission. Or better yet, if the Holy Spirit moves you, join us for worship any Sunday at 9am. What you will find is joyful people worshiping a beautiful Savior. And who couldn’t use a little more beauty in their lives?
